Ramos went on to charge that the Lisboa government wants to steal resources from the Madeira Islands. Bravo to Ramos for defending his region's legitimate right to autonomous governance. He is absolutely correct in his poignant assessment of the Socialist-led Portuguese government's mismanagement and focus on all the wrong policies. The government is morally and ideologically bankrupt.
A government that fails to fairly compensate its farmers and shepherds for nearly three years for losses suffered by its policies is simply put, morally corrupt. The government and PNPG owe our people in Alto Minho approximately $400,000 dollars in compensation for animals killed by wolves re-introduced to our region by the government.
Thank you Mr. Ramos for your courage to speak out against the government's misguided policies. Portugal needs more leaders like you.

The persecution of the majority by an intellectual elite masquerading as the people's friend under the flag of socialism as going on all over Europe. People no longer govern themselves. In all countries of the EU the police are being used to harry and persecute the law abiding majority. George Orwell's 1984 has finally arrived. Even in the Minho the bureaucrats and the fascist forces of socialism make people's lives difficult on a day-to-day basis. The people must fight back.
Rules, rules, rules. There's a rule governing virtually every aspect of life. We can't even take a crap without the government giving us permission or a license. It's time for people to say "enough"!
There's no doubt that we need to do something, but who would be that any government these days wouldn't do a "Tiananmen Square" on us? THey already spy on us all the time and introduce hundreds of new laws and restrictions each year. But what can we do? Who will lead the people back to democracy?
Obviously my dear friend you do not know who Jaime Ramos is. Plese do a proper research prior to make statements. Your ignorance is certainly greater than your knowledge.
Why don't you enlighten us then?
